The scale has six modes, including a timer mode for timing, an auto-tare mode for measurements, an auto-start mode, an espresso mode, a pourover mode, and a pourover practice.
The Acaia Pearl S can also show brewing guides that are downloaded from Acaia’s BrewGuide app on the bottom of the screen to show owners each step for brewing their coffee. It can access a double display for grams and timing, but also has a triple display that can be seen in the pourover mode that shows flow rate in grams per second.
